Rochester native and Knighthawks forward Joe Walters will take the team’s anti-bullying message to two schools this week.

The anti-bullying program, which is sponsored by Isaac Heating and Air Conditioning and Wellington Steele & Associates, will make its first stop at the Walt Disney Elementary School at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4th. Walters will speak to 165 students, grades 4 and 5, at the school located at 175 Coldwater Rd.

On Friday, March 7th, the Knighthawks forward will make his second stop, as he visits Canal View Elementary located at 1 Ranger Rd. At 10:15 a.m., he will address 480 students in grades kindergarten through 5.

During the two presentations, Walters will share his personal story of bullying and will present the students with the Knighthawks’ “We Got Your Back” anti-bullying message.

“I feel truly honored that I have this opportunity to spread my anti-bullying message to kids throughout the Rochester area. I hope the students at Walt Disney and Canal View will realize how much bullying can affect someone and will help me bring bullying to an end,” said Walters.

The events are the 14th and 15th of the season for the Knighthawks, who have visited over 6,000 kids since the program started in October 2012. If you would like to learn more about the Knighthawks anti-bullying go to
